Responsive recruiter

At Oliver Manufacturing, we don’t just build machines — we build solutions that shape industries. We’re looking for an experienced Purchaser who’s ready to move beyond transactional buying and into a strategic, cross-functional role that directly impacts operations, cost efficiency, and supplier performance.
As a key part of our supply chain team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our production lines are continuously supported by the right materials, at the right time, and at the best value. This role is ideal for a detail-driven, analytically minded individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings a proactive mindset to process improvement and vendor management.
About Us:
Oliver Manufacturing has been a trusted leader in the manufacturing industry for decades. We specialize in producing high-quality material processing equipment that serves industries globally. With a focus on innovation, excellence, and a team-oriented environment, we pride ourselves on providing our employees with the opportunity to grow, contribute, and make a lasting impact. We offer a supportive, collaborative culture where your expertise is valued and your potential is recognized.
What You’ll Do
As a Purchaser at Oliver Manufacturing, you’ll serve as a strategic link between procurement, production, and vendor partners. You’ll manage purchasing operations with a forward-looking approach, identifying opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and improved delivery performance — all while ensuring the uninterrupted flow of goods and services to meet our production goals.
- Strategic Procurement Oversight: Manage the purchasing lifecycle from forecasting needs to issuing purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and tracking delivery schedules to align with production timelines and inventory goals.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, performance-based relationships with key suppliers. Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure quality, pricing, and service standards are consistently met.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze purchasing trends, cost data, and supplier performance to inform sourcing strategies and support operational planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with production, operations, engineering, and leadership teams to forecast needs, support new product initiatives, and ensure material readiness.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Contribute to inventory management strategies that reduce waste, improve cash flow, and minimize lead times — without compromising on quality or availability.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to procurement processes and tools, ensuring greater accuracy, efficiency, and alignment across departments.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, vendor contracts, and delivery schedules to ensure full transparency and audit readiness.
